Family photography, amazing weather and a super fun family!

Filed under: Uncategorized — encoreportraits @ 6:13 pm

I had the privilege of photographing this fun and super photogenic family, the Roberts, last week and you forget how much energy little ones have.  If only I could have half the energy that these little ones do I would feel like wonder woman.

When I do family shoot I always like to suggest a place with a playground as little ones get bored pretty quickly and they need a diversion after about 10 minutes of taking pictures; candy is also a great tool! Here’s an amusing story; I always, always ask the client the main objective of the shoot and start there and whatever time is left over we will do the rest.  Most clients primary objective is getting a family shot so we start there, which is what I did for the Robert’s family.  So right after I did the family shots for the Robert’s family the little one Gwen had little upset stomach and puked all over mom, which was perfect timing if there is such a thing for puking, because we were done photographing the whole family. So it all worked out!

Here are some of my favorite moments from my shoot with the Robert’s family!

Meet the newest member of our family, Starski, the St. Bernard!

Filed under: Uncategorized — encoreportraits @ 9:55 am

I am just tickled pink that Starski is now officially part of our family, the good ole boys club, yes there are four of them then me the only girl.  As you can imagine there is lots of testosterone in my house.

We took Starski home on Saturday afternoon and he fits like a glove into our family. Our other handsome little man dog, Hutch, yes it is Starski and Hutch, we plan to start a new mini series too (he! he!) is a 110 golden retriever who is just a lover and gets along with anyone.  Our motto at home is “grow um big or go home”.  Take a look at our little guy who soon could become over 140 pounds like his parents.  He is just soo loveable!!!  Go Starski and Hutch!!

Starski at four weeks old; how cute!

Starski hanging out with his bro's and sis.

My oldest son Jake meeting Starski for the first time (four weeks old)

Ben, my youngest with the little guy (10 weeks old).

Wedding Photography, Good Friends, and at a Great Place; Anacortes, Washington!

Filed under: Uncategorized — encoreportraits @ 12:37 am

I just returned back home from this amazing place on earth called Anacortes, Washington which I had never heard of until my clients, Shelby and Erik asked me to photograph their wedding in this awesome city.  I had the pleasure of traveling with Kristy Rowe, who is soo awesome and we had a fantastic time.

Erik and Shelby are AMAZING they made us truly feel like part of their family and welcomed us with open arms.  What was just truly amazing was that no matter where you went there wasn’t a location that were you could  take a bad picture; you were  surrounded by beauty; the ocean and soo many other beautiful spots.  Kristy and I took a drive to Deception Pass and as we were driving there I told Kristy that part of the drive felt like you were in the Redlands in CA and another part had warm fuzzy feelings of Colorado and then there was the ocean which was surrounded by islands.  So you get soo many different feels to this wonderful town of Anacortes.  Take a look at just a few of my fav’s from this trip.  I will definitely be posting more as the weeks goes on as there were soo many great shots from this trip.

A special thanks to Shelby and Erik for your awesomeness!!

On the corner of each street building in Anacortes they had these super fun murals and this one I just loved!

Downtown Denver, Engagement Session, Amy and Adam – what a fun time!

Filed under: Uncategorized — encoreportraits @ 7:00 pm

I had the pleasure of photographing my wonderful clients Amy and Adam for their engagement session downtown and I LOVE downtown.  Why do I love downtown?  I love it for soo many reasons but my first and foremost is how beautiful it is and how diversified it is.  Every time I go downtown for a shoot I am amazed at how many new spots I find or my clients find, WOW.  We started at Little Raven and walked by 15th and just had a fun time.

Amy and Adam have such a wonderful disposition, very relaxed and easy going which makes my job even easier.  They were willing to really try anything with the pictures and be fun and adventurous which really makes amazing images.  Take a look.

Amy and Adam you rock, thanks for being amazing to shoot!! I am looking forward to photographing your wedding at the Boettcher Mansion!!

Autumn & Ben – A Wedding Day to Remember at Arrowhead Golf Course

Filed under: Uncategorized — encoreportraits @ 8:25 am

There are always those people you meet that you will never forget and Autumn and Ben are one of a kind or should I say two of a kind that I will always remember.  Autumn and Ben are just soo down to earth loveable and kind people and they made my job soo much fun because of who they are.  When I first met them I just knew that I would love them and they are soo easy to photograph.

Their wedding day took place at Arrowhead Golf Course which I just love and you can’t help but take great pictures and when you have subjects such as Ben and Autumn you cannot take a bad picture.  They were soo easy going willing to go anywhere and have fun and we did.  I have to say this, Ben printed out every email that Autumn’s mom wrote her while she was alive and Ben made a book for Autumn with from emails; now  does that tell you about his character??  Just amazing.  Enjoy some of my favorite moments from their special day.

Autumn and Ben thank you for from the bottom of my heart for making my job soo much fun!!

It was the first part of June when Michele and Pablo said “I do” for the first time to each other.  They said their vows overlooking the beautiful and amazing Arrowhead Golf Course; it doesn’t get much better than that!!! Michele and Pablo added their own style into their wedding and heritage and it was awesome.  There wasn’t a detail Michele didn’t leave out and guess what, they even had a rainbow; isn’t that good luck.

Michele and Pablo you are wonderful and I hope you have a happy marriage together!!  Here are just a few of my favs from their wedding.  Enjoy!!
