Boettcher Mansion – Sara and Chris Album Show and Tell

Filed under: Uncategorized — encoreportraits @ 12:01 am

This past wedding season was just a blast!  I was blessed to work with many awesome couples and trying to create albums was soo challenging as they had soo many great images to include; however when designing albums I prefer to have the album not cluttered with too many images.  My opinion is that when you open an album and go through the pages your eyes shouldn’t be overwhelmed with what to look at first but rather your eyes get fixed on the images displayed.  After many hours of design I believe that this album of Chris and Sara displays their special day and they can look at it and it truly brings back their day with a smile on their face!  A wedding is a day to be treasured forever and the album design is instrumental on reminiscing the day.

Raggedy Ann and Her Friend Isabelle – Capturing Life’s Precious Moments

Filed under: Uncategorized — encoreportraits @ 11:24 pm

This morning I woke up looked outside and said today is going to be a great day and I knew it is was going to be because I was heading off to capture my sweet friends little girl Isabelle’s personality.  Isabelle just turned three and she is just too cute with such darling curly hair and full of personality and she brought her little friend Raggedy Ann; do you remember her?  When I saw Raggedy Ann it brought back such fun memories of my childhood, I too use to have a Raggedy Ann doll.  I remember taking her everywhere I went and it showed too; by the time I outgrew her she looked a little loved that is for sure.

Whether I am taking a family or little one outside for a session I just love to play with them, laugh and just have some good ole’ play time together.  It is just amazing how tired little ones get towards the end of our play time photography session and boy did little Isabelle run, leap and play well today, take a look and enjoy.

Sugar and Spice and Frog and Snails…. Family Ties Memories

Filed under: Uncategorized — encoreportraits @ 8:59 am

How does the saying go, “Sugar and spice and everything nice that’s what little girls are made of?”  And the saying for boys I believe goes “Frogs and snails, And puppy dog tails, That’s what little boys, are made of”.  Yes oh yes I believe that can be true!

Last weekend I had a session scheduled with a family and when I met them at the park I couldn’t believe it but this family I was scheduled to do a shoot with I actually knew but didn’t recognize the last name.  My younger son Ben went to daycare two days a week with one of their little girls.  It has been a while since I have seen them since our kiddos are older now, but like they say what a small world.

I had such a fun time with this family; great parents and super fun kiddos!  The kiddos were game for anything; running, jumping, peek-a-boo and just some good old fashion fun play time!

Enjoy some moments from our sugar and spice and frogs and snails shoot!

Sports, Sports, More Sports and Kids!!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — encoreportraits @ 12:25 am

Having boys is surely a fun job, however a very busy one when sports are involved!  I have always LOVED sports and I am finding both my boys, Jake and Ben love them as well.  My son Jake who is almost 11 started playing tackle football this year.  Well his team is an all draft team meaning that most of them have never played tackle football and boy is this a new adventure for all of us parents.  On the first week of practice there were tryouts for positions and skill testing to see where they were at and little did I know that Jake would be selected for first string quarterback, I couldn’t believe it, my Jake. He also gets a chance to play defense which he also loves.  So far his team is 0-2; I think we are all hoping for just one win this season.  I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun it is to see him play sports as it brings back memories for me when I lived in CA and all I could dream about was playing soccer later it became volleyball; anyway, it is just so much fun to watch.

Ben, my youngest who is almost 6 is playing flag football and it is a blast to watch these little guys score touchdowns and grab flags, what a hoot!  Ben had his first game last weekend and scored 2 out of the four touchdowns for his team, boy he can run; however we need to work on defense he doesn’t quite get how to pull the flags yet, in time that will happen.  As a mom I just see how time fly’s by and how kids grow up before our eyes and I just cherish every moment, every victory and every defeat as each one are growing moments.

Enjoy each day and treasure each moment as they both are a gift.

The Sanctuary Golf Course – Cari & Scott

Filed under: Uncategorized — encoreportraits @ 8:24 am

WOW, have you ever been somewhere that just is soo amazing and every detail no matter where you went in the place was not left out?  Well, I had the amazing opportunity to be at a place that I just described, the Sanctuary Golf Course in Castle Pines.  No matter where I went, the ladies locker room where the girls got ready to the deck which was by the way just amazing to the bathrooms, there was no detail left out!  Kelsey is the event manager there and she was soo welcoming and friendly just wonderful.

Anyway, Cari and Scott’s day was just amazing, filled with great attendants to outstanding family members who were just soo fun to photograph!  Needless to say Kristy and I had a great time there and we hope to be back there soon.  When you find a place that is not only beautiful but the staff is outstanding you want to go back!  Enjoy….
