Amanda & Ryan – Celebrating their wedding day at the Willow Ridge Manor House

Filed under: Uncategorized — encoreportraits @ 10:15 pm

I met Ryan and Amanda about 8 months ago and I could tell when I first chatted with Amanda on the phone that I would be soo blessed to be their photographer and boy was that true!  These two wonderful people were amazing to photograph and work with; they are super friendly and genuine!

July 4th this year was an interesting weather day, but that didn’t stop Ryan and Amanda from having their day be what they expected it to be.  The day started out overcast, which is a photographer’s dream come true and it later decided to sprinkle, but as most photographers know when it sprinkles the umbrellas make the picture even better and that is what we did!

The staff at Willow Ridge were amazing, very organized and right on time! There were soo many wonderful spots to take Ryan and Amanda to for pictures; so I thought I would share a few that I love.  Enjoy!

The Inn at Palmer Divide – Colorado Springs, CO – Sarah & Mike

Filed under: Uncategorized — encoreportraits @ 8:24 pm

The Inn at Palmer Divide is such a quaint venue that is tucked away in the scenic and fun little Town of Palmer Lake.  I love going to places like the Inn at Palmer that are different and fun and lend itself soo well to photography; I had a great time there.

I have done several bridal shows at the Boettcher Mansion since becoming a preferred photographer on their list and on a show last year a mother and daughter, Marianne and Sarah, happened to attend and that is when our relationship started.  Marianne and Sarah were at the bridal show to help Afton, Sarah’s younger sister find vendors for her wedding that would be taking place on New Year’s Eve in Estes Park in 2008 and they were successful on finding some great vendors; I was blessed to be on their list of vendors they hired.  Later last year I received a call from Sarah announcing she was engaged and I was soo thrilled for her and Mike, her fiancé, what a great couple! I felt double blessed to be able to capture some great memories for her, Mike and their families again; they made me feel like part of their family, soo welcoming. Oh, this family knows how to have fun, they rocked into the evening with awesome 80’s music and their guests were glued to the dance floor, now that is a party!!!

Anyway, I wanted to share some of the fun moments of their day with you, enjoy…

You have one life, do what you love!

Filed under: Uncategorized — encoreportraits @ 10:05 am

Okay, it is soo unlike me to blog twice in one day, but I just have too!  I had dinner tonight at Indulge (you must try it) with Scott and Cari who will be getting married in August at the Sanctuary Golf Course and we had a blast! Dinner was great, the company and conversation was fantastic, and oh the martinis were outstanding!

Every time I get to go out and get to know my clients over dinner or coffee, it just confirms why I do what I do, photograph moments in life for people who are truly amazing like Cari and Scott.   With all that is around us and how short life can be I want to truly encourage you to find that passion and live it out!  Don’t put off things that you can do now, who knows what tomorrow holds (I have soo much to tell of this, but will save it for later).  I thank God that He has given me the gift of photography; I just LOVE IT!  I get to meet fun and interesting people and I get the honor of capturing those moments that often go unnoticed, which tells a story by itself; can you tell I am soo excited about what I do? Anyway, I thought I would share with you some fun images from Scott & Cari’s engagement session done last August.  Enjoy and remember to live each day to its fullest, have as few regrets as possible, keep looking up and as my son would say “life is what you make it”, so make it a good one!

If you have not had the chance to take a look at the Pinnacle Club, oh my, you must!  This venue is not only gorgeous with views of the city and the mountains but the staff that work there are amazing!

Matt & Erin were soo adventurous to let us take them downtown to several places; downtown is amazing and lends itself to some awesome photography!  To top it all off, Matt & Erin had a Jewish/Catholic wedding and what a ball to photograph; Jewish weddings are a blast and have soo many fun components.  Thank you Matt & Erin for inviting us to capture your day, we had soo much fun!  Enjoy…
